I was one of the Benjamin Gilman Scholarship recipients because of my essay and now I’m giving all my international tips! These are examples and my story that got me over thousands of dollars in undergraduate study abroad scholarships to fund 2 semesters abroad in Europe and Asia. Gilman Scholarship alumni and winners are often people of color because this is one of the best study abroad scholarships for minorities to apply to. It’s main requirement is that you receive the Pell Grant for official confirmation that you need the financial assistance to get full scholarships to study abroad. I want to study abroad for free and this helped. I’m so thankful this is highly suggested for study abroad scholarships at UT Austin. The University of Texas at Austin often shared how to pay for study abroad. I was able to get the Benjamin Gilman Scholarship and the International Education Fund.
